Great 3- hour train from Sligo to Trinity College. The train staion where I got off is Connolly near Trinity College. It was utter chaos! Hundreds of buses, the Luas and the Dart system and the train all meet there. I ended up hopping into a taxi to go the mile or so. After checking in at Trinity, I went to find the National Museum of Archaeology. Instead I found the National Gallery of Ireland, an art gallery. The paintings of Jack B. Yates were on exhibit along with another painting I really liked, done in 1854, depicting the marriage of Strongbow and Aolfe in 1170, which completed the Normans control of Ireland. 25B8B127-F..CF4FD61E537.jpeg. The hall it is in is huge FB8D058D-D..60762318C50.jpeg as are most of the other display rooms 7CCE9C1C-B..FB1F0604FDD.jpeg6EE0775E-C..DFF8DF5B0ED.jpeg. Found my way back to Trinity College somehow - not easy! Will visit The Book of Kells and National Museum of Archaeology tomorrow.
